RBS backs mother and son in Field Fayre acquisition

ROSS on Wye based shop Field Fayre has been acquired by new owners, mother and son Pamela Barnes and Luke Miller.

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) supported the acquisition with a six figure funding deal.

The local produce store stocks more than 2,500 products including organic meat, chicken and fish, organic and artisan bread and pastries, organic jam, honey and spreads, organic pantry and baking ingredients and organic sweet treats. 

Field Fayre also offers a weekly organic fruit and vegetable box delivery service.

Royal Bank of Scotland provided the new owners with a £222,750 commercial loan which helped to support acquisition costs of the business and property.

Miller said: “Both my mother and I are passionate about organic and natural living and when we saw that Field Fayre was for sale we knew that this was not an opportunity to be missed.

“We are thrilled to have taken over the store and have been enjoying getting to know the business and our customers during the last few weeks. The previous owners set up Field Fayre with the objective of make organic living as easy as possible.  This is something that will continue to be the key aim of the business and we intend to continue to offer a first class service to our clientele.”
