Office awards scheme open for entries

A PRESTIGIOUS national property awards which picked a Birmingham office tower as it 2010 champion of champions is open for entries.

The British Council for Offices is calling for entries to the regional stages of its 2011 awards with just a month to go before deadline day.

The scheme celebrates the best office development projects, design and functionality in the workplace.

Prizes will be handed out across five categories: corporate workplace, commercial workplace, fit-out of workplace, refurbished/recycled workplace and projects up to 2,000m².

The category winners from five separate regions will then go head-to-head in the national finals next autumn to be crowned UK champion.

At the national finals three extra prizes will also be handed out: president’s award, innovation and the overall best of the best.

The latter was won earlier this month by Argent’s Eleven Brindleyplace office tower in central Birmingham.

The Midlands joins up with East Anglia for one of the regions however Herefordshire and Worcestershire come under the South West of England section.

  • The closing date for entries is 26 November – for full details and to submit an application visit bcoawards.org.uk.
