57,000 sq ft industrial estate changes hands

Springfield Farm Industrial Estate on the edge of Harrogate has been acquired by Quarters Commercial, a locally based development company.

Previously occupied by Noble Foods supplying egg products to major supermarkets – the site is being split into smaller units suitable for a variety of uses and space is already in demand.

Quarters has appointed a joint agency of Hayfield Robinson and Carter Towler to market the site.

Jason Clay, director of Quarters Commercial, said: “We wanted to get a mixed approach to this project, as Springfield is appealing to smaller up and coming companies looking for a prestigious location as well as blue chip companies for which the site has been historically attractive.”

Ian Hayfield, of Hayfield Robinson, has worked with the owners on other projects. He said: “We know these people operate in a professional manner and this is a unique site in an area of Outstanding National Beauty.

“15,000 sq ft has been snapped up in the first week by a food processing company so it’s all systems go at Springfield and great for new job creation locally.”

Quarters Commercial will be developing the site further, with office suites and starter units planned to start immediately.
