Crafts channel expands digital reach with social media shopping events

Create and Craft, a TV channel focused on hobbies and crafts, has increased its digital presence by launching live shopping events on social media, in partnership with Nordic tech platform Sprii.
Broadcasted via satellite networks such as Sky and Freeview, the Oundle-based channel also now streams live on platforms like Facebook and Instagram, allowing viewers to interact with presenters and make real-time purchases.
The shift has nearly doubled the company’s online audience, growing from just under 1m to almost 2m.
Create and Craft’s Digital Marketing Specialist Emma Beattie said: “Live Shopping via social channels has been a game-changer for us. It enables us to not only engage with our existing audience but also attract new viewers who can follow the live demonstrations and purchase related products.
“Our audience numbers and followers on Facebook have surged, and our Instagram following has seen similar growth. We’re aware that social commerce has been gaining significant traction globally – and we’re pleased to be part of that story.”
