In our next look back at the last 12 months, we talked to Ben Newth, managing director of Nottingham video agency Reel Media.

What has been your highlight of the year?
Picking up a number of new clients. We’ve got a great existing client portfolio but this year we’ve added DPG PLC, Nottingham City Council and Urban Beauty United to the list, and we’re already getting great feedback about the work we’re doing for them.

And your lowlight?
Brexit… whether it has a direct effect on our business or not I just feel it’s a self-inflicted wound that will impact everyone over the next year or two.

How do you think 2016 will be remembered?
2016 is the year of the unexpected results. Leicester City, Brexit and Trump!

Hero of the year (business or otherwise)?
It has to be my wife, Tessa. As well as been a brilliant Mum to our three girls, she runs her own podiatry practice, The Foot Room in Wollaton, and 2016 has been her year.

And villain?
Anyone associated with the BHS scandal.

What’s your New Year’s Resolution?
To find new and exciting channels for the business. We plan to build on this year’​​s success with interactive videos and also look at creating content for social media channels.
