Plans revealed to turn law firm’s former office into flats

Plans have been submitted to Nottingham City Council to turn a the former offices of law firm Sharp, Young & Pearce into flats.
A company called Tempophase, which has an address in London wants to turn the building, on the corner of Byard Lane and Weekday Cross, part of which is Grade II listed into seven, two-bedroom apartments.
The building has been empty since Sharp, Young & Pearce merged with Rothera Dowson last June to become Rothera Sharp and had been on the market for £800,000.
A planning statement submitted to the Council says that Eeach flat would have a large open plan kitchen/dining/living room and all bedrooms would be en-suite.
It adds: “The building is in need of sympathetic restoration having been neglected in recent years despite being occupied as offices until last year, and the residential conversion will make the restoration viable because of the enhanced value of residential accommodation in the city centre.”
