2018 in preview: Frankie Labbate, Box Property

Frankie Labbate

We’ve asked the region’s business leaders for three predictions for 2018. Here’s Frankie Labbate, director at Box Property, on what he thinks will happen in business next year…

1. Hockley will continue to flourish with national operators starting to appear alongside successful independents. Hockley will extend into Sneinton Market creating a similar vibe to Northern Quarter Manchester and Bold Street Liverpool.

2. We will still be talking about the Broadmarsh in 12 months’ time.

3. We are going to see some of the larger chain restaurants struggle with some high profile administrations and closures as customers’ expectations have increased. They now want the authentic product and experience the smaller operators are delivering. Big chains just aren’t cool anymore.
