Derbyshire construction firm wins place on £8bn government framework

Bowmer and Kirkland has won a place on the government’s £8bn framework for the construction of new schools in England.

The framework replaces the existing procurement structure launched in November 2013 and comprises 22 lots split into values and regions across England.

Bowmer & Kirkland, based in Heage near Belper, secured places on 12 of those lots, including a place on the biggest package – the high value south lot with a value of £2.6bn.

The success means that Bowmer & Kirkland can bid for future work from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) which will continue to roll out its programme of new school buildings
