How the new Audley Centre will look

The two-year saga to try and build nearly 50 Derby city centre flats could be coming to an and after the scheme was approved by the City Council.

Plans for the flats in the Audley Centre were first submitted in July 2016 and have gone through a number of amendments since. Now, Derby City Council has finally approved the scheme, which covers 21-33 St Peter’s Street and 22-36 East Street

The 48 units will be a mix of one and two bedroom aparments developed by an investment company called Steamrock Capital.

New shop fronts will also be installed on the ground floor in a move designed to help retailers.
