Housebuilder expands into East Mids with site acquisitions

Jones Homes has bought six new development sites on which the firm says it will build more than 300 homes.

The land in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire has been purchased over the course of Jones Homes’ current financial year, which ends on April 30th.

Work is already progressing at Simpson Park in Harworth, Nottinghamshire; Van Dyk Village in Derbyshire; Century View in Golcar, West Yorkshire; and Heather View in Hade Edge in the Holme Valley. Construction will start imminently at Hillside Green in Harthill near Sheffield and Cavendish Park in Bolsover.

David Ruffley, regional director for Jones Homes Yorkshire, said: “Our Yorkshire division’s footprint expands far beyond the county boundaries, as we continue to expand our presence across the East Midlands as well as Yorkshire.

“The development sites we have purchased are diverse in location and in the range of homes we will be delivering. At Van Dyk Village we will be creating a new village community with its own distinct character. At Simpson Park in Harworth, we are immersed in the regeneration of a former colliery site, building new homes and creating jobs.

“As we move into our next financial year, we will continue to source more land in carefully-selected locations, and we have expanded our land-buying team to facilitate this.”
