235 homes set for East Leake after land deal completes

A housing developer is set to build more than 230 new homes on a 30.9 acre site in Nottinghamshire after a property consultancy secured a deal to sell the land.

Fisher German sold the land off Rempstone Road in East Leake, Nottinghamshire to developers Barratt David Wilson after terms were agreed. The site has planning permission for to 235 homes to be built.

The proposed scheme is also set to bring forward 47 affordable homes, land for a proposed primary school and over one million pounds in contributions to education.

Luke Brafield, associate director in Fisher German’s Development team who secured the deal on behalf of the landowners, said: “This was a quite a complex transaction both from a planning, legal and technical perspective and we are delighted that the site will now be brought forward for development.

“Barratt David Wilson was keen to develop this area and now much-needed market and affordable homes will be coming to an attractive part of Nottinghamshire which is very conveniently located.”

Barratt David Wilson expects to start work on the site in February 2020, with the first homes being up for sale from July 2020.
