Nottingham restaurant receives Michelin star
A Nottingham fine dining restaurant has been awarded its first Michelin star.
Alchemilla, which is based on Derby Road in the city and run by former Sat Bains chef Alex Bond, is only the second restaurant in the county to hold a Michelin star.
Michelin surprised Bond at the restaurant ahead of announcing the new stars today (Monday 7th October). Bond said: “I’ve been doing this for 21 years now… and I’m speechless – absolutely speechless.”
Bond opened Alchemilla in August 2017. He was named as the Chef to Watch in the Waitrose Good Food Guide for 2019.
