On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Lavan Sivaharan and Oliver Cammell

Hockley Developments has appointed two new architectural technicians to assist with the increasing number of development projects in its pipeline.

Oliver Cammell and Lavan Sivaharan have already started work on two of the firm’s new developments.

Architectural manager Ewan Cassell said: “This is an exciting time for Hockley Developments, and with two large projects due to start in Spring 2020, it was important we bolstered the team. After several interviews, we were delighted to secure Oliver and Lavan, who we believe can complement the team very well.

“In their first few weeks, they have already made a positive contribution to our team.”

The company currently has five live projects in Nottingham and expects to launch two more in Spring 2020.

Elsewhere, Banner Jones Solicitors has added a dedicated performance and wellbeing coach to its ranks.

Katie Newton and Lisa Gill

Katie Newton, a counsellor and psychotherapist, will work closely with the firm’s HR department to deliver tailored one-to-one sessions to staff across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire.

Lisa Gill, human resources manager at Banner Jones, said: “The health and wellbeing of our staff is the upmost of importance, and Kate’s appointment is indicative of our ongoing commitment to this.

“As the business continues to grow and expand, we are determined not to lose sight of the needs of those individuals who make our success a reality.

“We pride ourselves on our open-door policy and are as committed as ever to putting our staff, as well as our customers, at the heart of every decision we make and in doing so provide a positive workspace for everyone.”
