Hour-long delays on M1 in Nottinghamshire

There are currently delays of over an hour on the M1 southbound due to a collision involving a car and an HGV which has closed all lanes within J25, near Nottingham.

Traffic is being diverted via the exit and entry slips within the junction.

Highways England Traffic Officers are in attendance and are working to clear debris and a spill from the carriageway. Recovery is also being arranged.

Highways England said: “There are over 6 miles of slow moving traffic on approach, which is now back to J26. Please allow plenty of extra time for your journey this morning if you’re travelling in the area and consider alternative routes if possible.”
