TheBusinessDesk.com partners with the East Midlands Finance Awards
Some of the brightest stars in the region’s financial community will shine a little brighter this year as TheBusinessDesk.com joins the East Midlands Finance Awards as media partner for 2020.
Editor Sam Metcalf met with Alex Alcock, director of Distinct Recruitment who launched the awards, to finalise the partnership this week and the event already looks bigger than last year, which saw entries from over 30 businesses and over 150 guests attending as Alex explained: “The EMFAs were incredibly well-received as a concept last year and this year has built on those foundations with a wide range of entries received already. We want to make them as successful as we possibly can and by partnering with Sam and the team at TheBusinessDesk.com we can do just that.
“They are a fantastic opportunity which we devised because we truly believe that the East Midlands is the best place in the UK to build a career in the industry. The logical step for us was to create an event which recognised this and to be honest, its success exceeded our expectations and continues to do so this year.
“We know we have something great here and with the help of our event partners, we’re able to ensure that the 2020 awards will be even bigger and better than last year.

The EMFAs are a not-for-profit event and all money made will be donated to three charity partners; Wishes 4 Kids, When You Wish Upon A Star and Children First Derby.
