Manufacturer snaps up 20,500 sq ft R&D facility

A manufacturer of materials used in the rubber, plastics and coatings industries has moved into a 20,500 sq ft warehouse at Pera Business Park in Melton Mowbray.

Waverly Carbon has taken the space in a deal brokered by FHP Property Consultants.

Daniel Turner of Waverly Carbon said: “With its well-lit space, overhead cranage, and substantial power provision the workshop on the Pera Business Park in Melton Mowbray ticks all our boxes. With fantastic support from Pera’s helpful and friendly management team, we are very pleased with the location of our new production plant. We look forward to a long and fruitful association with Pera Business Park.”

Nigel Brown of Pera Business Park said: “We are very happy to have successfully filled the workshop. It’s another positive step for the business park and Melton Mowbray to attract a company like Waverly Carbon that wants space for an engineering research and development project.”

Chris Proctor of FHP Property Consultants said: “FHP were appointed by Nigel at Pera Business Park to find a single tenant for their large warehouse/workshop space, which had historically been a multi-let space with a high level of management required. After producing detailed marketing and working with Nigel for several months, we agreed a deal with Waverly Carbon who are an excellent fit for the building and highlights a major letting for Melton Mowbray and North Leicestershire.”
