Prime city centre retail unit up for sale for £4m

How the building looks now

A major Nottingham city centre retail unit is up for sale for £4m – and could be changed into student accommodation.

191-195 Lower Parliament Street, which is currently let to Peacocks-owned Bon Marche and Poundland, was originally built as part of the intu Victoria Shopping Centre. It stretches to almost 28,000 sq ft over basement, ground and first floors and brings in rent of over £450,000 a year.

TheBusinessDesk.com understands that the unnamed vendor has undertaken some pre-planning advice which has examined the potential for the building for the future – including turning it into 81 student studio apartments.

The property is due to be sold at a commercial auction to be help by property consultancy Allsop on July 21 unless a sale is completed before that date.
