Data tech firm moves into new iconic Nottingham offices

LexisNexis® Risk Solutions, a provider of data, analytics and technology to insurance providers in the UK and Ireland, has moved into the newly-regenerated City Buildings on Carrington Street in the southern gateway of Nottingham.

As exclusively revealed by TheBusinessDesk.com earlier this month, LexisNexis Risk Solutions has taken 9,800 sq ft of space in the iconic period buildings.

City Buildings and the surrounding area have been dubbed ‘The Shoreditch of Nottingham’ by developer Shoby Investments, due to the mix of old and new and the use of industrial design. The firm will be home for 95 employees currently working from home with room for 20% growth as the business expands over the next few years.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions already employs 280 people across the UK and Ireland, including a team of data scientists based in Dublin.

Jeffrey Skelton, MD of LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Insurance, UK and Ireland said: “Nottingham has been home to the LexisNexis Risk Solutions Insurance business for many years, and we remain very involved in the local community through our volunteering programme. In fact we have donated much of the old furniture from our previous office to local charities such as Stonebridge City Farm, Arkwright Community Gardens and Bloomin’ Dementia.

“However, we have simply outgrown our previous location and needed a space that would be inspirational but also enjoyable to be in. City Buildings provide a fantastic place to work and grow as a team, and it is great to be part of the renaissance of the southern area of the city.

“It seems fitting that we move into this exciting new space as we look forward to a sense of normality in 2021. Like many businesses, LexisNexis Risk Solutions adapted quickly to remote working but it is important for teamwork, learning, development and staff morale that we provide an excellent place for our people to meet and work. City Buildings will provide that key hub.”
