Permission granted for energy-efficent improvements on 132 homes

Calverton Street

Planning permission has been granted  by Gedling Borough Council for energy-efficient improvements to 132 homes in Calverton.

Persimmon Homes Nottingham is responsible for delivering the homes located off Park Road in the village.

The  approved redesign of the initial application focuses on creating more energy-efficient homes and aims to address the local housing need by offering a mix of residences.

The upgraded designs feature thicker cavity walls to improve insulation and include PV solar panels on each home.

Carl Oxley, land director at Persimmion Homes Nottingham, said: “Ensuring that we’re delivering homes that are more sustainable is of utmost importance to us at Persimmon.

“We’re delighted to have received approval for our amended application at our community in Calverton, and I want to thank Gedling Borough Council for their support. Not only will this enable us to upgrade the previously approved 132 homes, but it will also generate a significant investment in the local economy.”
