Nottinghamshire pub secures Bib Gourmand in Michelin Guide 2024

The Reindeer in Hoveringham has been awarded the prestigious Bib Gourmand accolade from the Michelin Guide for Great Britain & Ireland 2024.

The Reindeer was acquired by Nottingham-based local entrepreneur Sean Reddington at the end of 2022 before undergoing a £100,000 refurbishment.

The pub underwent a makeover that preserved the charm of a traditional country inn while adding modern and stylish touches.

Alongside this, Reddington collaborated with chef Andy Goodbourn and the kitchen staff to craft a menu that takes pub food to new heights, accompanied by real ales and special themed nights.

By sourcing ingredients locally, The Reindeer offers diners an authentic taste of Nottinghamshire and its neighbouring regions.

Sean Reddington, owner of The Reindeer and Old Vol as well as CEO and co-founder of Thrive Learning, said: “What an achievement.

“Since getting involved with The Reindeer, my ambition has been to create a pub which our community is proud of. We’ve focused on great food, great drinks, and great service to bring people together and make a space where everyone feels welcome and you can get your pub classics fixed.

“Being awarded a Bib Gourmand – especially being the only pub in Nottingham to receive the accolade – is an honour and a complete testament to every member of the team. I’m so proud, and can’t wait to celebrate (over a Guinness) with the team and our regulars who have supported us throughout this journey.”
