A Leicestershire-based footwear retailer has secured a seven-figure funding package from HSBC UK.

Established in 2004, T&A Holdings, which includes T&A Footwear and Heavenly Feet, is set to expand globally with the support of an international trade finance package from HSBC UK.

The firm supplies to major retailers such as Sainsbury’s, George at ASDA, and Clarks, while Heavenly Feet Limited focuses on its brand.

Heavenly Feet is distributed through over 300 independent retailers and partnerships with big names like Next, JD Williams, and Shoe Zone.

With operations spanning the Far East, including China and Vietnam, T&A Holdings plans to invest in designing and manufacturing recyclable footwear using plant-based materials.

The financing from HSBC UK will facilitate the sourcing and purchasing of these materials, improving the company’s sustainability efforts while fostering global growth.

David Markham, financial director at T&A Holdings, said: “This funding from HSBC UK provides an exciting opportunity for us to explore sustainable production opportunities within Asia and bring our products to new and existing customers worldwide.

“As a new customer to HSBC UK, we’ve been impressed by the range of business banking facilities and we’re grateful for the support as we enter the next chapter of our amazing journey.”
