Print and branding firm alerts administrators

A Derbyshire flag printing and branding firm is facing an uncertain future, TheBusinessDesk.com understands.

UK Printing Company, which is based in Clowne, near Chesterfield, has posted a notice of intention to appoint administrators through MD Law (Yorkshire).

The move will protect the company from creditor action for a period of around two weeks.

In its latest available accounts, made up to the end of September 2022, UK Printing Company employed 37 staff. The firm owed creditors almost £672,000 at the time and had next assets that totalled almost £363,000.

UK Printing Company has been contacted for a comment.

The news comes at a difficult time for the print industry in the East Midlands. In February, Leicester print and packaging firm Greenshires Group collapsed into administration, while earlier that month we reported that Surepak, a Nottinghamshire-based manufacturer specialising in flexible packaging for the food industry, had appointed administrators.
