Pulse Consult gets performance ready for Hot Property 2024

As we gear up for Nottingham Hot Property 2024, we’re catching up with supporters of this year’s event to find out more about the upcoming annual charity show.

One of these is Pulse Consult which is now in its ninth year sponsoring the event. We had a chat with Emma Atkins, business development and marketing manager at Pulse Consult about her thoughts on NHP both past and present.

How many years have you supported/attended Hot Property?

Pulse Consult have been fans of Nottingham Hot Property for a long time. This is Pulse’s 9th year of sponsoring and attending the event.

Why is Hot Property so important to you? Why did you want to sponsor the event?

Hot Property is without a doubt Pulse’s favourite event in the East Midlands’ property and construction calendar. We love having the opportunity to support our industry friends, and of course our own colleagues who perform – plus it’s a great night out for our staff to enjoy.

As a trustee, I find it a privilege to be involved. The event always raises incredible amounts of money for local children’s charities, so I’m lucky to be able to help.

What’s your favourite Hot Property memory or performance from over the years and why?

My favourite memory has to be the epic Electric Six performance of Danger! High Voltage from Liz Cartwright from Cartwright Communications and Ash Cowdrey from Chord Consult back in 2019. It’s certainly beneficial to have the construction industry involved to create those very special ‘flashy bits’ outfits!

Hot Property has been going now since 2004. What were you doing 20 years ago?

20 years ago, I was working for one of the last lace manufacturing companies in Nottingham and was sadly made redundant. After finding an old-fashioned advert in the paper, I began working on reception at Maber in 2004 and went on to join Pulse in 2019 to continue my career.

‘Falling into’ the construction industry was one of the best things that happened to me, the support I received from my employers and industry peers to develop a career from receptionist to Practice Manager, and then Business Development Manager has been a heck of a journey!

What are you looking forward to most about Hot Property this year?

As this year is Hot Property’s 20th Anniversary, it’s promising to be our biggest and best ever!

We have a stunning new venue at Binks Yard, and being held in the Summer is going to add a whole new festival atmosphere.

As a performer I’m looking forward to being on the outdoor stage and as one of the premium sponsors, the Pulse Consult team are all excited to experience an epic night of entertainment.

Can you give us a sneaky clue about what we can expect from your performance this year?

All I will say is, I have always wanted to sing this song and it’s an absolute classic from the 80s, but also more recently heard in Shrek 2!
