Major road closed in Leicestershire due to ‘police-led incident’
The A42 in Leicestershire is closed southbound between J13 (Ashby-de-la-Zouch) and J12 (Packington) due to a Leicestershire Police-led incident.
National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene providing assistance with traffic management.
A statement from National Highways said: “Due to the nature of the incident, the road is likely to be closed throughout the morning to allow for investigation works to take place.”
Traffic is being diverted via local routes.
