Nottingham disability charity relocates to new centre

Highbank Community Centre

Footprints, a Nottingham-based charity supporting children and families with disabilities across the East Midlands, is moving to a new location in Clifton.

The new site, formerly Highbank Community Centre on Farnborough Road, will become the Footprints Centre.

It offers improved facilities for the families and children they support, the organisations they collaborate with, and the local community.

The new Footprints Centre will feature three session rooms, a well-being coffee bar, a sensory room, a function space and outdoor education areas.

Stephen Frew, Footprints’ business and charity manager said: “Moving to our new centre in Clifton is an absolute game changer for Footprints. As a charity that supports children and families with mobility and communication difficulties, we must provide a space which is accessible and suitable for all of our needs, now and in the future.

“At our brand-new Footprints Centre, we will be able to deliver a greater number of our transformative services and reach more families and children, with more flexible and purposeful session rooms and outdoor sensory areas. Our centre will also have a wellbeing coffee bar, not only for our families to use but also for the community around us. We can’t wait to join the incredibly supportive community in Clifton and get started on the exciting work to transform what was the Highbank Community Centre, into the Footprints Centre!”
