JCB Power Systems doubles up in Queen’s Awards

Thirteen companies in the East Midlands have today been names as Queen’s Award for Enterprise – with JCB Power Systems of Derbyshire picking up two awards.

JCB Power Systems was just one of six of the 243 winners to achieve double recognition.

Winners in the Innovation category are CommAgility of Loughborough, Inni of Derby, JCB Power Systems of Foston, Sublime Science of Leicester, Winbro Group Technologies of Coalville.

In the International Trade category, Cheaney Shoes of Desborough, HK Wentworth of Ashby de la Zouch, JCB Power Systems of Foston, LEEC of Nottingham, Red Arch Manufacturing of Daventry, Strata Products of Pinxton and Greenray Capital of Lincoln were winners.

Dorothy Francis, chief executive of CASE wins the Lifetime Achievement Award for Enterprise Promotion.

Business Secretary Sajid Javid said: “The Queen’s Awards are a great way of celebrating the best of British business. Whether you’re a disruptive start-up making life easier for your customers or a large company with a blockbuster product, these awards recognise your contribution to enterprise.
