Jelson to build 142 homes in Lincolnshire

11 acres of farmland near Lincoln, which will become a major housing development.
Land off Grantham Road in the village of Waddington has been sold to Leicestershire-based house-builder Jelson, which plans to build 142 homes.
Planning permission was granted in November 2015. As part of the development agreement, community payments of more than £1m will be made to boost educational facilities in the area.
Funding will be provided for new facilities at Waddington Primary School, along with secondary and sixth form education facilities in the area.
In addition, the developer will make contributions towards an on-site sport facility and improved healthcare facilities at the local Cliff Villages Medical Practice.
The seller of the land, a local farmer, was advised by Langleys Solicitors and land agent Ray Phillips of Walters Rural.
Peter Horner, partner in the commercial property team at Langleys, said: “We were pleased to advise the sellers on this transaction, which will lead to the development of important housing for the area as well as improvements to local education and healthcare facilities.”
