On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Family law specialist Ben Lawson has joined the Nottingham office of law firm Geldards.

Moving from Derby firm Flint Bishop, Lawson specialises in the resolution of financial matters for medium to high net worth individuals and resolving disputes in relation to the children of the family.

Derbyshire firm Wildgoose Construction has announced a new appointment to its Board of directors.

Simon Carr, managing director of Henry Boot Construction, has joined the Board as a non-executive director.

Carr joined Henry Boot in 1988 and has progressed to his current post of managing director. He is the immediate past chair of the National Federation of Builders and also sits on the CBI Construction Council.

He is also a private sector board member of the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, the Sheffield City Region Housing Executive Board and Sheffield City Region Transport Executive Board.
