On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Law firm Howes Percival has appointed Chris May as planning partner and head of the firm’s Leicester planning team.
In this newly created role, May will be responsible for further developing and growing Howes Percival’s planning law offering in Leicester and the East Midlands. He was previously legal director at Marrons Shakespeare, the legal planning team of Shakespeare Martineau.

Actons, the law firm in Nottingham, has appointed a new senior lawyer who joins the firms highly acclaimed Insolvency and Litigation teams.
Annabel Whittaker joins the firm from Fraser Brown qualified as a solicitor in 2006 and as an insolvency practitioner in 2013. She deals with all aspects of corporate recovery and insolvency, and advises businesses on resolving a range of commercial disputes.
She said: “I’m really proud to have joined Actons, a forward thinking law firm, which is so well known for providing an excellent service. I’ve known Nicky and other members of the team at Actons for a while, and when the opportunity came up to join them, it was one I couldn’t turn down.”
