SOCIAL SCENE: National Association for Women in Construction networking event
More than 40 female leaders from the East Midlands construction industry gathered in Derby at an exclusive networking event for The National Association for Women in Construction (NAWIC).
An international organisation of women working in the construction industry, NAWIC’s membership includes architects, lawyers, engineers, quantity surveyors, project managers and others working both directly in the industry and providing services to the industry.
Representatives at the inaugural event held in Derby included women from contractor G F Tomlinson, Abacus Lighting, contractor Morgan Sindall, Futures Housing, Lovell and the Bowmer and Kirkland Group of Companies.
Rebecca Hartshorn, design and sustainability manager from contractor Bowmer & Kirkland and East Midlands chair, with Amy Revell, business development manager from contractor M3 and deputy chair, organised the event.
