How do you relax at the weekend?
My wife and I often head out for breakfast to start a relaxing family weekend. Although finding time to relax is at a minimum with two sons under the age of two, we try to entertain the boys as best we can and put our feet up when the opportunity arises. I do manage to play some golf when the weather permits, we have family days out and are able to catch up with family and friends.

How many hours do you work at the weekend on average?
I will spend a few minutes here and there responding to emails, but otherwise, I try to keep the weekends free for the family. It’s important to have time to ‘log off’ to really engage with your family, although in this industry if a big deal is close to completion, I will be on hand at the end of an email.

What’s your favourite:
– Holiday destination? Hawaii – my wife and I visited two islands on our honeymoon, and what a stunning place it is. The scenery is incredible, we loved the contrast between the idyllic beaches and the volcanic backdrop.
– Album? I have quite an eclectic taste when it comes to music so unfortunately it’s not easy to pin a favourite. When I’m out on the road in between client meetings and site visits, I love listening to Rod Stewart.
– Food? I really don’t think you can beat a good quality rib-eye steak, cooked medium.
– TV programme? Anything that will make me laugh. I am a huge fan of Phoenix Nights, Peter Kay’s humour is truly top notch. Alan Partridge and The Office are both high on my list of favourites, too. I’m currently watching the Peaky Blinders box set which is a different ball game altogether but very enjoyable.
– Website or app? I think I’d choose app. The ability to receive news headlines and notifications instantly is great. The BBC and Sky apps are very good for news and sport updates when out and about, so you never miss anything important.

How do you usually spend Sunday evenings?
Sunday evening involves ironing the shirts for the week ahead, whilst catching up on Match of the Day from the night before. Bath time for the boys and then feet up to relax with my wife with one of our favourite boxsets.
