On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

The new innovation team at Sleaford Quality Foods

Sleaford Quality Foods, a supplier of multiple packaged foods to the manufacturing and foodservice sector, has responded to consumer demands around sustainability by forming a new innovation team.

Head of marketing and innovation Tracey Siddy will be joined at the firm by Laura Griffin, Susie Camm, Hayley Williams, Richard Oke and Murray Carmichael-Smith.

The new team will be responsible for the firm’s marketing operations, product development and technology innovation, and will aim to ensure that the company offers its customers full traceability “from farm to fork.”

Siddy said: “Consumers want to know where the products they buy come from. This isn’t just an environmental issue; it encompasses ethical trading and fair prices for farmers across the globe and means we have incorporated a truly transparent ‘field to fork’ traceability ethos into our company.

“Food safety and transparency is now a key factor within the ingredients industry and it must look towards securing a sustainable supply of raw materials from the farmers it works with.”

Elsewhere, Browne Jacobson has appointed Abby Ewen as its new IT director.

She will work closely with managing partner Iain Blatherwick and the law firm’s executive board to drive forward its technology strategy.

She said: “It is a really exciting time to be joining Browne Jacobson.

“I have been really impressed with the investment the firm has made in recent years and their vision for placing IT at the heart of their strategy for future growth.

“I am looking forward to using my experience to develop a best in class IT team and take advantage of the technological developments in the market to provide a truly unique experience for both its people and clients.”
