Work starts on £60m residential scheme

Housebuilder Avant Homes has started work on its £60m Wilbur Chase development in Ruddington.

Planning permission was granted by Rushcliffe Borough Council earlier this year for the development located on Musters Lane.

The scheme will bring 175 new homes to the area, including 122 three-, four- and five-bedroom homes and 53 affordable homes.

The first homes expected to be completed in early 2021 The overall build is expected to take around four years.

Avant Homes Midlands sales and marketing director Steve Rider said: “Wilbur Chase is a hugely exciting development for us and it’s great that the first phase of work is now underway. There has already been significant interest in Wilbur Chase from a range of potential buyers and we fully expect to see properties selling off-plan.”
