Six figure investment in new flexible workspace

Landlord and businessman Don Prime invested a six-figure sum to create a new suite of flexible office suites on the edge of Derby city centre.
Prime had originally intended to refurbish the St James Business Suites to cater for floorplates of 7,500-22,000 sq ft in the St Mary’s Wharf development.
However, the coronavirus pandemic has meant Prime has acknowledged the shift in enquiries and has adjusted his focus to offer fully inclusive office suites from as small as 250 sq ft.
Prime said: “St James Business suites are designed to provide occupiers with a hassle-free and professional environment to operate from but without the pressures of onerous service agreements or long-term contracts. The rents are fully inclusive of all utility costs together with a Wi-Fi connection with broadband speeds of up to 100MB available.
“I appreciate that whilst people are now capable of working from home its is not always easy to do business from home and therefore, I decided to create a series of cellular office suites catering for all types of tenants from new businesses, to those that are seeking to downsize from their existing premises or potentially have a satellite office. Hopefully St James Business Suites offer a professional environment that is accessible, flexible and affordable.”
Salloway is marketing the office suites.
