Orangetheory Fitness announces new Nottingham studio

Orangetheory Fitness, the fitness craze that has swept America, is set to open a Nottingham studio this month (May), bringing 10 new jobs to the city.

As revealed last September, the new gym will be based on Castle Marina Retail Park, at the former Harvester site on Castle Bridge Road. The two-floor 5,000 sq ft venue will feature a collection of equipment for a mix of endurance and strength-building programmes.

The new fitness offering looks to improve levels of fitness and cardiovascular health through its innovative results-based fitness programmes. Tailored to each participant’s personal fitness levels, the station-based fitness phenomenon combines science with technology. The mix of cardiovascular and resistance training is tracked via heart rate monitors, providing performance data in real time on screens and via the Orangetheory app.

Those looking to discover an invigorating and motivating new way to train are invited to enjoy a tour of the state-of-the-art facilities from Saturday 08 May, ahead of the official launch on Monday 24 May. A limited number of discounted presale Founder Memberships are also available for those looking to secure their place before the opening date, and visitors are welcome to try a free class.

The news follows the launch of the first East Midlands Orangetheory branch in Derby, in October 2019. The US-based fitness franchise has seven other locations across the UK.

Studio manager, Alistair Hinchliffe said: “Orangetheory is all about building a community and providing that ‘local gym’ feel. We like to seek out lesser populated but thriving urban areas, offering innovative plans that support the local environment.”

“Nottingham is a fantastic location for this; it has an active music, arts and cultural scene, with a vibrant landscape of cafés, bars and businesses. This is exactly the type of city we love to embed ourselves in and Castle Marina Retail Park is the perfect base.

“We’re really excited about bringing the Orangetheory Fitness concept to Nottingham, building a new wellness community in the city and supporting its local businesses and high streets.”

Ahead of the opening week, from Monday 10 – 24 May, members will be able to experience complimentary Wellness and goal setting consultations, with classes set to begin from Monday 24 May.
