Nottingham-based Acres Architects is planning to more than double its workforce after launching a major recruitment drive.

The firm, based at Nottingham Science Park, is looking to fill multiple new roles within its recently expanded group structure.

The Acres Group now consists of five divisions: Acres Architects, Acres Construction, Acres Investments, Acres Developments and Online Media Video Productions (OMVP).

With 13 staff currently on the books, the newly-advertised roles would see its numbers more than double. And managing director Edward Acres has no intention of stopping at that.

“We’re heading for our best year ever, for the second year running,” said Acres. “So, we’ve been in the fortunate position of being able to bring forward and inflate our planned recruitment drive.

“These are incredibly exciting times for Acres Architects and the whole construction industry. I can only see our company getting bigger and bigger.

“We’ve always taken pride in offering a holistic service to our clients, so formalising this with separate group divisions was always the plan – and to make it work we need to bring in additional top-quality team members.”

Many of the new roles are for senior- and director-level positions. Acres Architects is seeking a director of architecture, director of landscape design and director of planning, as well as a Part 3 Qualified architect and a senior technologist.

Acres Construction is also looking to hire an estimating quantity surveyor, two site managers and multiple labourers.
