Plans in for 400-room student scheme near shopping centre

How the scheme would look

Plans for another major student accommodation scheme in Nottingham have been submitted to Nottingham City Council.

Following a public consultation, PMI Developments has revealed a new scheme on land between Glasshouse Street, Rick Street, Howard Street and Huntingdon Street in the city centre.

The land is to the east of the Victoria Centre and comprises brownfield land currently occupied by a car repairs garage.

PMI’s scheme would be 16 floors at its highest point and include 401 rooms. It will be operated by an unnamed student accommodation management company.

City council planning chiefs will decide on the scheme over the next few weeks.
