We asked Staton Young MD Marc Brough how it felt to be named property champion at last year’s ceremony.

“For Staton Young to be named property champion was a fantastic achievement, particularly given all the incredible things that property companies across the region are doing at the moment.

“We have achieved such a lot over the past couple of years and to receive recognition for all our hard work was really gratifying.

“For us, success in business means continued growth and the ability to scale-up to meet demand and stay ahead of the curve. Cubo, our high-end flex office offer, is changing the face of the workplace in the regions and we are planning exponential growth over the next few years.

“Success can’t always be measured in terms of profit though. It can also be viewed by the strength of the business and having a strong company culture and a team that supports each other.

“Since winning the property award, we have been focusing our efforts on our Cubo brand, which has continued to change the world of work in the regions.

“Cubo is now the UK’s fastest growing provincial provider of high-end flex office and co-working space, with bases across the five UK cities.

“It is now the location of choice for SMEs and tech companies who require the best Grade A space in each location and provides an experience-led lifestyle offer to meet the changing needs of businesses – from hot-desking to a designated desk, private office, or entire floor.

“In February 2022, Cubo opened a new office in Leeds with a host of businesses committing to taking space prior to its formal opening. A fifth site in Birmingham city centre opened in May 2022.

“We will continue to concentrate our efforts on the Cubo brand. Expansion plans are underway to achieve our aim of having representation in all leading provincial centres by 2025.

“Further sites in Manchester, London and Edinburgh are in the planning stage. We also plan to take the brand internationally.

“We are also moving into the student accommodation market, with plans for 166 beds in Derby city centre in 2022 and more developments in the pipeline.”

The deadline for entries is 8th July 2022. Good luck!
