Plans for West Bridgford mixed-use scheme shelved

How the scheme would've looked

Plans to build a mixed-use scheme opposite Trent Bridge Cricket Ground have been shelved, according to documents seen by TheBusinessDesk.com.

Keystone Homes (Midlands) had hoped to build the scheme at 15 Radcliffe Road, to include 22 apartments, on the site of a former Texaco filling station, which has been derelict for some years. The proposed scheme would have been a part six-, part four- and part one-storey building, including one- and two-bedroom apartments, with commercial space on the ground floor.

A planning statement reads: “The proposed scheme will enable a prominent and unattractive site that has been vacant for over a decade to be redeveloped and brought back into an active use. This will help improve the appearance of the locality and may help stimulate further investment in the future.”

Despite this, it Rushcliffe Borough Council confirmed on Tuesday afternoon (October 4) that the application from Keystone Homes (Midlands) had been withdrawn.
