Leicester-based accountants and business advisers Mark J Rees has announced it has created ten new jobs in the city this year – including three managerial positions – with more to follow.

Carly Norton, Karl Blackwell and Elena Pallas have all been appointed to managerial roles at the firm, which has also created two new business teams to meet growing demand for its services.

Norton is a new face at the firm, while Blackwell is making an internal move to the bookkeeping and payroll department. Pallas, meanwhile, has been promoted to manager having recently gained her professional ACA qualification.

Wes Scales, staff partner at Mark J Rees, said: “I’m sure it has not gone unnoticed by our social followers that we have been regularly welcoming new staff to the MJR fold. Like other businesses, we have to make sure we follow the advice we give to our clients to ensure that growth is sustainable. Our expansion is unrivalled in the history of the firm and the future we face as a practice is exciting.

“Technology has revolutionised the accounting industry particularly in the field of payroll and bookkeeping. With a new dedicated team we’re well equipped to meet client demands.”
